I’m a German birder and have been photographing birds since 2005 and successfully hand-rearing and releasing orphaned wild birds since 2009.
In my bird pictures, I try to show what is most important to me when shooting animals/wildlife - the direct contact or communication with the animal, that they look at me, that they notice me, that they don’t panic and run or fly away but that they “talk” through their unique expressions for a very special moment - and that I “listen” to what they have to “say”.
No hides, no set-ups. :-)
Holding a great passion and admiration for my intelligent feathered friends - from ruddy city pigeon to soaring raptor - I want to depict each bird’s unique individuality (and soul), mostly through close up portraits.

SCREAMS HAPPILY

Oh my god. I remember making clothespeg guns as a kid but none functional enough to shoot fire.

I WANT IT. I WANT IT NOW.

"There isn’t a sharp line dividing humans from the rest of the animal kingdom. All the time, we find animals doing things that, in our arrogance, we thought was just human."
